Santa Claus welcoming us on board to London MH 002

It was toward end of the end of 2018, after a hectic trip to Jerusalem,  I packed again for my Christmas short trip to London.
22nd December to 30th December 2018. Very cold during the trip.

On Malaysia Airlines, I started my trip on Saturday evening from Kuching. Very rushing day, after work at 2pm.

22 December 2018( Saturday)

Journey started around 4pm to Kuching airport, for Malaysia Airlines Kch- KL- London Heathrow direct check in luggage to London.
6.40pm Kch to Kuala Lumpur and reached KL around 8.30pm. Had my simple dinner in Kuala Lumpur before boarding for flight to London. Gate 5 located at C satelite builinf only opened around 10pm. Flight to Heathrow departed around 1130pm.

It was a pleasant trip. I had beer in welcoming drink , and wine for supper, then went to sleep. No major turbulence. 2 main dishes with few snacks were served on board. I like the crackers and cheese with wine. 2 main meals that i chose was both asian food ie white rice with chicken rendang and a nasi lemak, which was very tasty.

23 December 2018 (Sunday)

Landed at Heathrow airport around 6am. Very pleasant and fast immigration clearance. Make sure you complete the landing card properly, stating full address of stay in UK. If possible to standby a return ticket and a travel insurance especially if travelling with an elderly.

Immigration Clearance
You will see the sign of direction for EU and non EU countries for immigration clearance, so go to the non EU for Malaysian passport.

Arrival area after immigration and luggage collection.
As usual, I got the most economical way to travel to central London, which is London train service using Picadilly line, which cost around 3.50Pound for 1 way. From the arrival area, we walked down to lower floor to get to the train.  Prior to that i get my osyter card topped up with credit.

Walked to your left after arrival area to the elevator to go down to the train station.
Train station at Terminal 4 Hethrow. The train will go to Terminal 5 before leaving to central London.

Journey around 1 hour, passing by more than 20 stops. The last stop was King's Cross station, where i came out and walked to Mit's apartment (Monica Shaw Court) around 200 mtres from King Cross station. When I reached Central London, the city was very cold. It was around 2 C and was raining. Really need a proper attire which includes inner thermal cloth, jumper, winter coat, a woolen scarf or a cap to keep warm in this weather.

Westfield is a big mall with many branded outlets.
Today we participated in end of the year run organized by runthroughuk.
It was quite a cold morning and very windy.
Hurrah, running in cold day was not as easy like running in tropic weather. The body took very long to get warmed and heated. The legs were easily got cramped. ouchh. whatever it is, I still enjoy it very much and plan to have more running in cold country.
Made some shopping at Sainsbury opposite Westfield Mall, Bought some coffee beans to bring back to Malaysia. Definitely more choices and cheaper in London.
Lavazza Coffee Bean was around 4Pounds.
Kenco instant coffee powder for about 2.5 Pound. Shopping for some blouses at Mark and Spencer Outlet and Waitrose for some food.
