Airport Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok

There are few common flight used to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. Malaysia Airlines and Airasia. Malaysia Airlines will land at Suvarnabhumi Int Airport and Airasia at Don  Meung airport. There is free shuttle connnecting this 2 airport. There is Airport Rail Link from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phaya Thai Station at central of Bangkok.
My previous trip I traveled with Airasia, which landed at Meung Dong Airport and used budget taxi from Airport direct to Hotel. the fare was around 700Bath to a hotel in Pratunam, The journay took around 1 hour.

Transferred to Centara Grand on Hotel Limousine.  The journey took around 1 hour, and reached Centara Grand around 12.30 noon. The hotel check in is at Level 23 with amazing view.

I was at Level 42. The building has 55 floors, where the Champagne Bar was located.

The Hotel very strategically located, attached to shopping mall called Centralworld. One of the high- end shopping mall in Bangkok.

The Hotel was connected to Siam BTS station via Skywalk, which  was around 500mtres walk. Siam BTS is also a connecting station for both BTS lines in BKK ( Suvumvit Line and Silom Line).

Two big shopping mall attached to Siam Station are Siam Paragon and Siam Squares.

Taking BTS Suvumvit  line toward Samrong and stopped at Asok Station , to go to terminal 21 Shopping Mall,(ticket price 30Bath) .  something so special about this building is every level is designed with it's specific country concepts. Level was Japan, the whole floor is designed like you are walking in Japan including the Japanese toilet concept , made from bamboo. London,Paris,Turkish and United States  concept. How creative they are imitating the other famous cities.

Coming with Danone Dumex Group from Malaysia, we went for a Muslim Thai Food dinner at Usman Muslim Food. Authentic Thai Food Dinner ie Fried Kerapu with raw mango, Big Prawn Tomam soup, Kangkong, Kailan, Green curry, thai pandan chicken, dessert, fresh coconut and fresh mango juice. Go back to hotel and dozed off.

Because of heavy dinner, i need to wake up at do workout and managed to run 5km and burnt 250kcal at the fitness club located at level 26. Complete equipment for a an avid fitness conscious. After shower went for a buffet breakfast at The World at Lvel 24.

Started the APAPARI conference with plenary session at 8.30am. This year what is important to me is to listen to the new breakthrough in allergy, repiratory, immunology diseases and treatment.

Afternoon, sneaked out to Platinum Fashion Mall, which is connected via Ramchapasong  (R) Walk to cross a river.

Platinum shopping mall is like a shopping heaven. The cloth quality is reasonably good with good price. Spend for about 30 minutes, I got few blouses and handbags, belts.

After shopping, I got back to join the conference, then the welcoming and opening dinner until 8pm.

After the opening ceremony, walk around food fest in front of centralworld mall. Huge prawn and great seafood.

Its time to call it a day...

As usual , in Centara Grand, the gym so great and must make full use of it in the morning before shower, breakfast and start your day 2 of conference. The topics getting more heavy. As in first day, too heavy to take during lunch time, it's better to do streching and exercise at Platinum shopping mall.

hand full of plastic bags.. thinking whether my luggage can take it or not??? Tonight( Saturday), I was invited to Msian Bangkok get-together at Shiva Apartment. Got to meet Dato ambassador to Thailand. It was great, i met few ppl, including Mr Naga, who is practicing IKIGAI concept, and suggested me to a book.

I took BTS from Siam station to Asok, and the apartment is walking distance from the station.

Day 4 in BKK, I will going to make my way to attend morning mass at Assumption Cathedral at Oriental avenue. I took grab car, very conveniently,  from hotel lobby to the Cathedral Gate. the drive took around 10minutes , I paid 100 Bath. The mass was in Thai language. The church looks extraordinarily marvelous. Coming back to Centara Grand, using BTS (Silom line toward National Stadium) from Saphan Taksin station., which is about 500 mtres walk fro the cathedral.  Dont worry, ppl are very helpful when  you ask for direction. I was easy getting direction with little help from people. getting back to conference until evening.

Doing some more shopping?? yes, when you feel cant concentrate on the subject. What a great conference Venue... cant find like this elsewhere.

Need to buy something, to bring back home ie Thai crisps, dried fruits, last minutes shopping for clothes, laundry bag or an extra bag to carry things back home. cabin luggage was around 650bath. I would have buy an extra bag, but I have more than enough cabin bags at home. so, not a good idea.

Quite relax this evening after packing, enjoying a  bit of seafood at the food fest, went up to 55th Floor to see the view Bangkok from sky at night.
